Getting an edge or as mathgeeks call it…maximizing Expected Value (EV)…is what I will be focused on here. A positive expected value (+EV) is good for you while the more you play with -EV situations, the more you are going to lose. The edges we will be discussing here might be in investing, poker, sports betting or wherever else we see the opportunity to get an edge or in some cases avoid the shaft.
